We&#039;re experiencing high latency to some destinations in Asia and Australia.

This issue has been escalated to the cable provider for further investigation.  
  
Current Observations:

Johannesburg to Asia: Latency has increased to 175ms (normal baseline: \~116ms)

Cape Town to Asia: Latency has risen to 194ms (normal baseline: \~135ms)

The upgrade will be performed sequentially to allow traffic to reroute across alternate paths within the network while each router is upgraded and rebooted. This maintenance is being performed to improve network stability and reduce the risk of similar failures occurring in the future.

**Maintenance Details**  
**Date:** 15 January 2026

**Scope of Work**  
Teraco technicians will be replacing the **B Feed PDU** within the rack. The current PDU’s network management card is faulty and is generating inaccurate power readings, resulting in repeated false alarms and logged events.

**Expected Impact**

* All **single-corded devices connected to the B Feed** will experience a loss of power during the maintenance window.
* **Dual-corded devices will not be impacted**, provided they are correctly connected to both A and B feeds.

**Fallback / Rollback Plan**  
Should any unforeseen issues arise during the maintenance, the existing B Feed PDU will be reinstalled to restore the environment to its original state.
