Good day,
11:30 – Civil team has access from one side, but the pushrod is getting stuck along the run.
12:45 – The provider’s team reported that most of the fibre cable endpoints appear to be located beneath the recently tarred road. They are continuing to investigate the location of the remaining fibre cables.
13:52 – The provider’s team is currently testing from the fibre distribution box to identify the damaged fibre cable.
15:00 – The civil team has begun installing the new fibre cable.
16:00 – The team has located the correct fibre cables and confirmed where the services are running.
16:30 – Technicians attempted to push the new fibre cable through the duct, but it became stuck approximately 60 metres before reaching the manhole. They are now digging to expose that section so they can free the cable and continue with the work. Another update will be shared as soon as more progress is made.
