    Network Platforms is embarking on an exercise to clean up and fix the cabling in JB1 DC 2 at the Johannesburg Data Centre. Clients will experience intermittent connectivity during the maintenance windows as cables are moved or re-routed through the cable management units. 

    Clients not co-located in DC2 and with protected services will remain unaffected.

    Please take note of a Liquid Planned Change scheduled between OSSEWA AND ZUURFONTEIN on the 15TH September 2024 from 06:30 - 17:30 (GMT: +02:00).  Liquid needs to remake the joint that is in a bad state between Zuurfontein and Ossewa.

     

     

    IMPACT: Services highlighted in red will be down for a maximum duration of 9Hrs, while other services will experience an intermittent 50ms switching hit.

    Dear Customer,

     

    Please take note of a Liquid Emergency Change scheduled at NLD 1 (Pietermaritzburg and New Germany) on the 09th September 2024 from 18H00 to 10th September 2024 at 06H00. Liquid need to cut over cables between Pietermaritzburg and New Germany on NLD 1 section 6. Cables were damaged by TLB at road construction. Cables were relocated, and new cable was floated. Construction of the road is continuing, and we are currently at risk of getting damaged by road construction or fire as cable is lying above ground.

      

    IMPACT: Services will be down for a maximum duration of 2Hrs during the change.

     

    Affected Services: NLD JB1-DB1

     

    Reason for Change:

     

    To cut over cables between Pietermaritzburg and New Germany on NLD 1 section 6. Cables were damaged by TLB at road construction. Cables were relocated, and new cable was floated. Construction of the road is continuing, and we are currently at risk of getting damaged by road construction or fire as cable is lying above ground.
