We would like to inform you of an Emergency Change that must be carried out on 22 November 2025. Please note that this activity is unavoidable due to an unexpected equipment failure requiring immediate attention.

Scheduled Date: 22 November 2025
Change Window: 09:00am – 11:00am
Description: Urgent replacement of the Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS)
Estimated Downtime per Client: Approximately 2 hours

Reason for Emergency Change
The ATS has failed, resulting in the switchover from backup power to Eskom having to be done manually. To prevent further risk to service stability and ensure power redundancy, urgent replacement is required.

Implementation Plan

Switch off Eskom power
Replace the faulty ATS
Restore Eskom power

Service Impact

Connections to and from the NOC may experience delays during the change window.

Rollback Plan

No backout plan is available due to the nature of the hardware replacement.

Test Plan

Confirm power restoration
Verify correct operation of the new ATS
