    Good day

    The latency increase was due to one of the segments in the provider's network being taken offline for emergency maintenance. Traffic was re-routed over a longer path. All work has been completed and latency to Asia and down under is back to normal.

    Good day,

    We're experiencing high latency to some destinations in Asia and Australia.

    This issue has been escalated to the cable provider for further investigation.

    Current Observations:

    Johannesburg to Asia: Latency has increased to 175ms (normal baseline: ~116ms)

    Cape Town to Asia: Latency has risen to 195ms (normal baseline: ~135ms)
