    Affected Service: Connectivity through Johannesburg Data Centre
    Description:  JB1 Data Centre 3 Cable Management and Clean-up

    Impact: Intermittent connectivity as cabling is moved or re-routed.

    Scope of Work:
    Network Platforms is embarking on an exercise to clean up and fix the cabling in JB1 DC 3 at the Johannesburg Data Centre. Clients will experience intermittent connectivity during the maintenance windows as cables are moved or re-routed through the cable management units. 

    Clients not co-located in DC3 and with protected services will remain unaffected.

    Activity Window:

    Dates: 19 September 2024

    Planned Event Start time: 22:00
    Planned Event End time: 23:59

    We’re pleased to inform you that the Liquid NLD between JB1 and DB1 is now fully operational.

    We will provide a Root Cause Analysis (RFO) as soon as we receive it from the provider.

    We're currently experiencing an outage on the Liquid NLD connection between JB1 and DB1.

    This issue has been escalated to the provider for further investigation.

    Please note, clients with a protected service should be unaffected by this incident.

JB1-DB1 DFA NLD is down

    This incident has been resolved.

    DFA confirmed they had a failure and had auto-rerouted the circuit via a congested route, causing packet loss.

    The circuit has been fixed, and we have put the path back into production use.
